    The ACADEMY

The Place for all to be!

The Academy is a place of learning, opening the Word of God and exploring the Truth and Goodness of an Amazing God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Holy One of Israel. Our motto is, Not Information but Transformation and Restoration through Revelation.

At The Academy all can meet, study and be yourself. We aim to help the Body of Christ, God's people called by His name, to study His Word, hear Him speak to them for their personal lives, and to grow in the knowledge and Spirit of Our Father. For you and each one of us God has a fantastic life with him. He deals and interacts with His children each one in a different way.

It's only when you make time to take responsibility for your spiritual growth, that you discover God's purpose for your life and the road He wants to take you on for His glory! Without Jesus Christ our Lord life is boring. It's like the hymn says, "When we walk with the Lord in the light of His World what a glory He sheds on our way..."

Become part of our community and experience the love of Christ and peace through the study of His Word. Watch yourself grow and develop and become the leader or follower Christ wants you to be. Jesus, our Lord said, unless the seed dies it cannot bring forth fruit. Don't wait to register with The Academy. Do it today, it's worth your while. With little cost and a studying the Word of God right where you are and at your own time, being an Academy student, will bring you much satisfaction.

Available courses

This course consists of three parts starting with Knowing God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit-The triune God or Trinity. These are three separate courses forming part of the bigger study called Equip For Ministry.

This course is the second of three courses namely God The father and God The Holy Spirit.

In our years of experience with believers or Jesus followers, we have found that they know a lot about the Father and the Son but are not that familiar with what God's Word declares about the Holy Spirit. This course completes the trilogy of the Godhead or as it's known, the Trinity (a word you won't find in the Bible).

Before you start reading or studying this chapter, I would like you to think what strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threads you have.

You are a product of thousands of generations before you. Coming from the same 'tree' namely Adam and Eve the very first of Mankind, we share intricate and amazing unseen yet bodily and mental associations. Those before us, immediate generations before us, like grandparents and parents lived and done things that influences our thinking and life in general. Amazing thought!

Attitude is the way you think and feel about someone or something; the way you behave towards someone that shows how you think and feel.

We have done 'Who am I?' But do you know after confessing Jesus as Lord with your mouth and believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you are not only saved but also having an identity change? I Christ you are no more who you were before. So, what is your identity now? Let's find out.

So many believers complain that they cannot hear from God, they feel confused and unloved because they ‘…do not hear anything from God…’ or ‘He is not answering’. Is this the truth?

Everybody would like to know what the purpose is for his or their existence. Without purpose, people feel lost and useless.

If you are at the same place spiritually where you have been, last year, last month or even last week, you need to check yourself. There is always movement where God is.

Many Believers struggle with ‘purpose’ and they become despondent because it seems as if they are the only ones who do not know what their purpose are.

In Module 11, we’ve learned that as Christians we have Common Purpose, things that all Christians must do and be. But God also have for each one of us a Specific Purpose.

There is no 'to love or not to love.' As believers we are commanded to love. We have no choice because the opposite of love is hate. And as believers we should not hate others.

All real beauty of character, all real Christ likeness in us, is the work of the Holy Spirit. Notice these graces are not called ‘fruits’ of the Spirit but ‘fruit’. Galatians 5:22 reveals nine forms of the fruit. "Love", "joy", "peace", "long-suffering", "kindness", "goodness", "faith", "meekness" and "self-control."

Did you ever thought of what would happen if we as believers, followers of Jesus don't grow spiritually? Well in this module we take time to look at it. Stunting reflects failure to receive adequate nutrition over a long period and is affected by recurrent and chronic illness.

This module is about ‘opening doors’ that might cause stunted or impaired spiritual growth.

Understanding, empathy and sympathy are interlinked. These three concepts belongs together as we will show in this unit. Many psychologically minded people believe that there's no place for sympathy it's all about empathy. This is nonsense because even though the word sympathy is not in the Bible, the word compassion embrace's sympathy.

These two terms are often used together or interchangeable; here we will examine the two and see what it is all about.

Philosophically, compassion is often linked to moral responsibility—tied to ethics, altruism, and even justice. In many religious traditions, it’s seen as a divine attribute or virtue. In Christianity, for instance, compassion mirrors the character of Christ, who was “moved with compassion” toward the sick, the grieving, and the lost.
